Melanie Day

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Melanie Day brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry. As the newest member of VCRE, she leads our Tenant Build-Out Division, managing projects from initial budgeting and architectural procurement through final contractor coordination. Her portfolio spans residential and commercial sectors, including the renovation of 48 townhome units, full-cycle commercial tenant fit-outs, and public heavy highway contract work.

With a strong eye for detail and a passion for organization, Melanie Day brings structure and efficiency to every project she supports. As the Office Manager and Construction Coordinator at VCRE, Melanie ensures seamless operations behind the scenes while helping to keep construction timelines and logistics on track. Her background in the construction industry has made her a key asset in bridging communication between teams, managing day-to-day administrative functions, and supporting successful project delivery. Melanie is known for her problem-solving skills, professionalism, and commitment to getting the job done right.

In her dual role as Office Manager, Melanie leverages her high-level accounting expertise with a focus on construction finance. She specializes in cash flow management, internal auditing, job costing, and resolving complex bookkeeping challenges. Melanie has successfully planned, managed, and implemented new cost accounting systems for both a regional home builder and a property management company—efforts that resulted in reduced overhead, improved cost accuracy, and enhanced job-level financial reporting.

Outside of work, Melanie is an avid traveler who often explores new destinations with her family. She’s a certified scuba diver, a snowboarder, and a culinary enthusiast who’s always preparing her next great meal.
